1/3/2024 0 Comments Anamorphic pro review![]() That's my BIGGEST issue, because, really, it renders the lens unusable for me as it effectively means editing and colour correcting flares to match the scene which I shouldn't need to do, there is no logical sense from a movie making perspective why a yellow light source would emit a blue flare. I note that the demo units sent to reviewers were not like this, and had neutral coatings. I've had 'fake' anamorphic lenses before, where effectively the glass is coated blue or whatever colour to recreate a certain tone, this appears to have been what has happened here. ![]() The website shows this image which is quite literally impossible to get with the production lens, it does not flare based on the input colour of light, rather just takes on an overall blue colour which makes no sense, when shining into the sun we had blue streaks which didn't seem to make any cinematic sense at all rendering our footage useless. Awesome vehicle shot with old yellow halogen lights? Blue flare. What does this mean? Every single flare is blue. The lenses sold, have a blue coating which is not shown in the demo video or product shots (of it in action, excluding renderings). Upon inspecting the promo images, the colour of the lens coating seems to be neutral/slightly yellow (might be clear tbh.). The demo and the website shows light specific flares -so shine a bright orange/yellow light and your flare will be orange/yellow. I booked the trip to Iceland partly because of the awesome video that the Moment guys made for their kickstarter campaign.įirstly, and I guess this is my biggest issue, the lens flares are different on the production units to those demo'd on the video itself and shown on the website. I'm a kickstarter backer, I have just returned from a trip to Iceland.
